Hiding sold stocks from the portfolio Editor view

I would like to know if it is at all possible to hide sold securities from the portfolio editor view. I have followed the steps indicated in the 'Hide sold investments' of the help section but all sold stocks are still listed. Thanks for helping.
Hi ebejeiv,
Yes, you can. To do this, mark the investment with the "hidden" property. You can either do this under "Investment Properties... / Other" or do it globally using "File / File Operations / Hide Sold Investments...". Once the hidden attribute is set on your sold investments, make sure you have "View / Hidden Investments/Portfolios" turned off.
Just to clarify. Once you "File / File Operations / Hide Sold Investments...", that becomes effective for the date shown. Any investment that is sold after that date will still show up in the reports until the file operations command is run again. Right?
This is particularly useful. I have some core positions that I go into and out of based on market conditions. I would want them listed with a zero balance, if I'm out, to indicate that the investment is eligible for future money but I have no position currently. Thanks.
Hi AssetHound,
Yes, your clarifying statements there are correct.
