FM Sounds

Hi Mark,

I just moved from Vista to Windows 7. Everything works okay except
formerly when I did a Price Retrieval, FM would play a "Ding" sound.
Now, in Windows 7, it doesn't play anything. Here is the way my alert
options is set up.

Display Pop-up Window checked
Send E-mail notification unchecked
Play Sound checked
Dialog box C:\Users\Sheldon\Desktop\ding.wav
(which is where I copied it to)

Also, when I click on the TEST button, it plays a high-pitched beep,
but when I click outside the Alert Options window, it plays the proper
Ding sound.

Can you suggest any changes?

Hi Sheldon,

There is no option that automatically plays a ding sound whenever you do a price retrieve... The alerts are related, but those require you set one or more price alerts on some of your investments. The alerts are only triggered when the alert conditions are satisfied, like if the price crosses above some specified limit.
