How to list minimum and maximum share value along with date

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Postby CaptChaos » Tue Aug 12, 2014 7:49 pm

Hi Mark, long time FM user here - started with 4.x. Now running the very latest version.

Suspect there is a simple answer but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to find out both the minimum and maximum share value along with their corresponding dates.

Is there any way I can get this info to show somewhere on the graphs?

Thank you.

Hi CaptChaos,

There isn't a way to put this in the legend, those fields aren't available. A few options:

1) Use the cursor snap, and move it to the low/high points, and look at the value/date in the status bar

2) Use a Custom report, with the fields:

Highest Close (between)
Lowest Close (between)

This will give you the high/low prices, but not the dates.

3) Use the Data Register, with the Data Type set to Prices. Sort the data list by "Close", so the highest closing price (and associated date) will be displayed at the top of the list. Click the "Close" column a 2nd time to toggle ascending/descending, and then the lowest price/date will be listed at the top. This doesn't allow you to look only within a certain date range, but would display for all recorded prices.
Thanks,
Mark
