subportfolio with selected symbols

Hi Mark
have a subporfolio with my IRA account,want to create a subportfolio with only some of the symbols,my need is to invest/track only a percentage of the account value.
Example,have 300000 in this IRA,from this figure want to have only 100000 invested on high risk individual stocks, and have them tracked on a different subportfolio,initially thought a linked will do,but looking at the video see you moving all symbols not individual ones.

Hi david,

You can create just a new empty sub-portfolio and then "copy" the desired investments into it. Use the Portfolio Editor, and drag/drop while holding down the Ctrl key on your keyboard.

You can have the same investment located in more than 1 sub-portfolio. Since it is the same investment, if you change it anywhere, it is updated everywhere that investment is located.

right,did copy/paste
now have same inestment on two subportfolio
will these not affect totals on the Master folder,like having the investment counted as double?
that was my concern

Create it in another level of sub-portfolio hierarchy, something like this:
