VERSION QUESTION

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Hi Mark,
I apparently downloaded a new version instead of an update. I'm getting a message
"the evaluation period has expired. If you plan to.... . please purchase an upgrade. "

I love Fund Manager, but not quite ready to upgrade. What should I do? THANKS for all your help over the years. :)

Hi robert1,

You are licensed for the Advisor 2014 versions. If you downloaded an Advisor 2016 version you would need to purchase an upgrade to use that. The 2016 versions are a major update, and require an upgrade fee to use them. If you'd like to stick with 2014 you can still download any older version by going here:

https://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/download_old_fm.php

and entering your license name/serial. It will download the latest version for your license.

Please note, if you've saved your data in the 2016 version, the 2014 version will not be able to open those data files, as they use a newer file format. You would need to do a "File / Restore..." from within Fund Manager 2014 and restore from a backup created before you installed the 2016 version. Fund Manager makes automatic backups for you. To find the location/frequency/# of your backups, look under "Options / General Preferences... / Data".
Thanks,
Mark
