Fund Manager OK on Vista x64 (64 bit CPU)?

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Postby cowanbill » Sat Aug 23, 2008 3:35 pm

The web site listed "Vista" as acceptable O.S, but I could not find anything about Vista x86 versus Vista x64.

Are there specific issues about installing Fund Mgr as 32-bit program on 64-bit Vista operating system? That is, does the 32-bit product run OK under the Vista x64 WOW subsystem?

I am now planning to upgrade to FM 9 on a new machine running Vista x64. Some other products have problems on Vista x64; whereas other products have no problems. (I have encountered both in my x64 adventure.)

Thanks, Bill

Hi Bill,

Fund Manager has only been tested/designed for the 32 bit versions of Vista. I don't know of any reason why it will not run under Vista 64, but it hasn't been tested there. I have had reports from users that it runs okay, but we haven't verified this.
Thanks,
Mark

I have been running Fund Manager on my new computer with 64-bit Vista. So far, everything works great! :D
