Posting a new Bond

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

I recently entered a new US Bond into my database and when I updated the history the price of the stock for the involved Company shows in the price column instead the Bond price. I have looked 3 times at the properties of the bond and could find no error. I must have inputted something in error but I can't figure out what. Can you help me.

Hi cah1942,

When you retrieve prices, the "Symbol" field is used to retrieve from whatever quote server you've selected for that investment. For a bond, you don't want to record the symbol as the underlying company, you would use the bond's symbol. We don't currently have a source for historical bond quotes, but if this bond is listed on Finra, you can get current quotes for it, by using that server. For instructions, see:

and for details on controlling price retrieve, see this tutorial:

Thanks,
Mark
