New update problems

Stops during install. Gives the following message...

Cant write C:\Program files (x86)\Fund Manager\FM.exe

Tried running as administrator but still get the same message.

Download of update fails to download. Using Firefox.

Hi Alexanderfrood,

This sounds like a permission problem. You do need to be running as an Admin in order to install into the Program Files (x86) folder. You might try re-starting your computer, and then installing it first thing, in case something else had a lock on it. If that doesn't work, you can try manually deleting the files in that folder, and then installing.

What specifically happens when you try to download? Do you get any sort of error message? I just tested it, and our server appears to be working okay, and it downloads okay from here.

Yes, your suggestion of turn off and then update straight after start-up worked fine.

Third download after posting my message worked. There were no error messages on the first two, except for download failed.
