It seems my CAD-USD exchange rate historical quote server stopped working since Jul 2016.
What is a viable server to use?
I am using FM version 2014.13.8

I had read all that. However, i do not see WSJ or Quandl as one of the server choices in Properties -> Internet retrieve

Yes, those are only available in the current 2016 version. What symbol/server combination were you using before?

Can't recall the original server as i played with it. Symbols are CADUSD:CUR and USDCAD:CUR
Is there a way to find out where the old prices were retrieved from (may be a log file of some sort)? Whatever server it was, i believe they stopped providing historical quotes for fx.

Sorry, there isn't a record of where a price was retrieved from, unless it is the last price retrieve you did, and then you could find it in the log file. The log file gets overwritten on each retrieve though.

I'm not sure which servers support historical FX rates in the 2014 version. There may not be any. You can see a list of all the 2014 quote servers by going under "Options / Internet Settings..." from within a 2014 version. You could also download/import historical exchange rates, and then just retrieve current exchange rates going forward. Yahoo offers current exchange rates, but not historical. A couple places you can download historical exchange rates are:

https://www.oanda.com
https://www.quandl.com

To import you would use "File / Import / Prices / Generic...". Press the "Help" button in that dialog for instructions.
