Same investment in 2 sub-portfolios

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

To make sure I don't mess up any performance calculations, is it better to set up a different investment in each sub-portfolio even though the companies are the same? To explain, if I own Abbott Lab (ABT) in my IRA account and also in my joint account, should I set up separate investments ABT and ABT1 in the different accounts to avoid any confusion in the performance by account and transaction history? Thanks. Joe

Hi Joe,

Yes. Since each investment has its own transactions, you do want separate investments. This is also an FAQ item, which you can read here:
