HI Mark I would like t create two custom fields as follows
My financial year is from 1st April to 31 march
I would like one field to show percentage increase between those date
a field of actual gain or loss between those date
This would help greatly with tax calculation in NZ which is based on these values
Can this be done

Hi Alan,

You can create a Custom report with these fields:

% Gain-V (between)
Change in value (between)

and set the report's date range to Apr 1 to March 31. If you want to see these figures for specific dates, and not have to set the report date range, you can define user-defined fields, and use these equations:

EVAL(DATE2DAYS(4/1/2018) ,DATE2DAYS(3/31/2019) , PGainV_btw)
EVAL(DATE2DAYS(4/1/2018) ,DATE2DAYS(3/31/2019) , Valuechange_btw)

Hi alan,

Creating user-defined fields is a feature in the Professional and Advisor versions (not Personal). If you are using one of these versions, see the "Define Fields..." button in the bottom/left of the "Custom Report Settings" dialog.
