Company name change

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Ok, I have REIT that I have owned for several years, and the company just changed their name. FM has retained the history of original purchase and the history of dividends. But it can't connect that history to the present holding or something. I am attaching two images here, one showing how it lists the company in a report (It is now named HealthPeak, symbol PEAK) and the other showing how the name-change transaction was recorded.

I need guidance on how to get FM to recognize thethe original purchase date and the total history of past dividends when it gives me a report

Hi Mary Kennedy,

You can just delete those 2 transactions on 11/5/19 where you bought 400 shares, and sold 400 shares. That is their way of "changing the name". Just change the name property, and you don't have to record any transactions. You might want to record an investment "note" for that date, but not any sort of buy/sell transaction.
Thanks,
Mark
