Asset Type/Sector Updates

I added some new securities to a watch list and when I tried to get the sectors and asset types using Internet Retrieve, it returned “unclassified”. I entered them manually but when I added a new stock and tried Internet Retrieve to update sector and asset type for it “unclassified” was returned and the manually entered ones were changed to unclassified. I must be missing some setting. Using Morningstar according to the log.

Will someone point the way. Thanks.

Hi John Lea,

The stock updates of asset/sector from Morningstar are no longer working. Notice when you retrieve there is an option:

If Retrieve Fails

If you leave that set to "Change Investments to <Uncategorized>", that is what will happen, and it sounds like what you are describing. Instead, you can set it to "Leave investments un-changed".
