need urgent help - emptied all portfolios

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

I need urgent help: I misunderstood 'close all investments' and emptied all portolios.
I have not saved the present situation yet - how do I recover the last saved overall portfolio ?

Hi slucheri,

If you haven't saved yet, turn off:

Options / Save Investments on Exit
Options / Save Portfolio on Exit

and then exit the program, and when prompted to save, press No. Re-start the program, and you'll be back to where you started when you last saved.

If you have already saved, you can restore from a backup. FM creates automatic backups. See "Options / General Preferences... / Data" for where your backups are saved. Use "File / Restore..." to restore from the most recent one, before this happened.

Thanks Mark, I do a manual backup every weekend so I was able to recover a lot of recent work.
