Failed Module Update Causing Problems

When trying to do just about anything:

"The specified module could not be found"

click OK, then:

Error#: 126

Could not load tranretr.dll.

Ok, I now see that this came after a problem updating: "Bad byte count for TRANRETR.DLL download."

Can't do the prescribed fix of downloading manually as "do not have permission to save" it in the folder containing FM.exe.

Can't alter write capability for the folder either. Don't know why.

Can I just roll this back somehow - really need a quick fix. Thx.

OK, I was able to copy & paste a previous TRANRETR.DLL from somewhere in folder "properties".

Seems fixed but don't have current module - which I don't need anyway and only updated to stop FM from nagging me

Hi El Wealtho,

What version of FM are you using? If you select "Help / FM on the Web / Check for Updates..." it should give you the chance to download the current modules.

Yes, it gives me the chance to download the module but I get the error message as described above.

We no longer support downloading updates to FM 2018, since FM 2022 has been released. You can still download the original program from here:

https://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/download_old_fm.php

but there aren't any quote or transaction module updates available.
