Investment name change

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

New Residential Investment Corp (NRZ) became Rithm Capital (RITM) a while back. What’s the best way to make this change in my Fund Manager portfolio? It wasn’t a spinoff, just seems like a name change. I have shares of NRZ and now my statements from that account read RITM.

Hi Andy,

If you didn't have a change in number of shares, the easiest way to record this is simply change the name/symbol/CUSIP properties. You could also write a Note for this date to remind you of the change. If you did have a change in number of shares, you can use a split transaction to record a ratio of <new shares> for <old shares>.
Thanks,
Mark

Thanks for the quick reply Mark. And yes, there was no change in the number of shares, just the name and symbol. I'll check the CUSIP too.
