Question about transferring data to new computer

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

I have 25+ years of Fund Manager data that needs transferring. I followed instructions about how to transfer to a new computer but this seems to be only backing up the portfolio that is open. Is there a way to transfer everything at once or am I doing something wrong?

Hi mayhaw9999,

Thanks for being such a long-time customer. It is appreciated.

The new computer instructions are designed for when you just have a single *.mm4 portfolio file. If you have more than one *.mm4 portfolio file, you can either:

1) Run "File / Backup..." and "File / Restore..." for each of your *.mm4 files.

or

2) Just do a single backup/restore, but then also copy over all your data files, including any additional *.mm4 files.
Thanks,
Mark

Thanks Mark. I'll do #2. You show me as joining in 2007 but I think I actually started using FM in the 1990s. I upgraded to professional for a while then went back to Personal. I think that is the date you have for me. But, the old brain may not be remembering correctly! :)
