Importing .SEC file Security Properties CUSIP, maturity, ..

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Is it possible to import CUSIP, maturity dates and coupon rates using file/ import/ other /security properties? I'd like to avoid manual updating using the investment properties dialog.

Hi introvest,

Currently it is not, but we really should add this in the cases where the data is available, which it is for .SEC files. If we were to add this feature would you like to test out a pre-release of 10.7 with this capability?
Thanks,
Mark

Mark, I'd love to test 10.7 with enhanced security property import functionality. When do I start? I'd be happy to email you my security file in .csv or .sec. Thank you!

Hi introvest,

Excellent. We do have some sample .SEC files, but why don't you go ahead and email me one of yours. It would be good to confirm we have the same file formats. I'd need the .SEC file. Just go here:

and fill out any simple message, and then you'll see a real email address you can use to send an attachment.

This shouldn't be too hard to add, so hopefully I can get you something to test out soon.
Thanks,
Mark
