Hello

I think that OOP Cost is a per share price while Tax Cost Value is a position total amount. Pls confirm or advise . How is OOP current and OOP historical calculated. If possible give numerical examples on all .. in connection with transferring in shares...

Thx

Hi Costas,

When reporting, both the tax and OOP versions of cost are available in both value and per-share figures.

If you are in the 'Transfer In' dialog, all of these figures are value (not per-share) figures.

The difference between "Current" and "Historical" is that Current is showing you the cost of the shares you own as of a particular date. Historical is showing the cost, since inception. Example:

Date 1: Buy 100 shares for $1000
Date 2: Sell 100 shares for $1100
Date 3: Buy 100 shares for $1200

If you report your OOP cost on Date 3, you'll get:

Current OOP: $1200
Historical OOP: $1100

The historical OOP is 1000 - 1100 + 1200 = 1100.
Thanks,
Mark
