Moving Investments to Another Subfolder

I want to move the Investment (.dat) Files to subfolders, representing the subportfolios, under the folder containing all the files (portfolio and investments). Just want to check that my procedure will work.

I intend to create the new subfolders and copy (and rename) the appropriate Investment Files using a file manager. Then, for each subportfolio, I will close the existing investments, open the copies in the new subfolders, and then delete the old Investment Files. Can you confirm that this will work?
