Hi hokie63k,
The trial is fully functional, so this should not be the reason. When you import, please use these settings: All Securities: ON All Dates: ON With Matching Sub-Portfolio Name as QIF Account: ON Create new sub-portfolios as needed: ON Skip transactions already in Fund Manager: ON Create new investments as needed: ON If you use these settings, and still do not see any transactions, then open up your .QIF file in Notepad, and make sure you can see your transactions. Maybe they didn't export correctly.
Mark,
The QIF file is in notepad when I open it. Also when using Import transactions, if I click "only import one investment and use the scan option then all my investments in that file show up in your drop down list. But I still can not get the file to import to the preview screen.
Hi hokie63k,
Did you try the import with all the settings exactly as I mentioned in my last post? Just because the investments show up when pressing "Scan" does not mean the QIF file has transactions in it. I would suggest trying the import with all the settings I previously mentioned. If you still do not see the transactions, then open up the QIF file in Notepad, and look to see if you see any transactions. Do you see your purchase details for example, like you bought some shares on a particular date?
Hi hokie63k,
1) Can you email me your .QIF file? I will test import it here. I've just now sent you an email, so you can reply to that with the QIF file attached. 2) Can you post a screen shot of the filled out QIF import dialog, right before you press "Next"? This way, I can see all the options you're using to import. For instructions on making a screen shot, please see: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1854
Hi hokie63k,
Thanks for sending the file and posting the screen shot. The problem is you have off the option to create new investments as needed. See the very bottom option on the import dialog. You need to turn it on: Create new investments as needed: ON I test imported your QIF file, and it imported fine here.
