Multiple Monitors Question

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Postby hray » Mon Sep 10, 2012 5:02 am

I use three monitors and typically have FM loaded on the far left (the far right being my primary Windows monitor). Whenever I open the Data Register, General Preferences (and maybe others), they always open on the left side of my primary monitor, crossing over onto the right side of my second monitor. Is there any way that I can set FM to open these windows on the same screen as FM?

Thanks.

I have the same problem.

I use two monitors, with FM in the right-hand monitor and all other windows applications in the left. The main FM screen (portfolio editor in my case) always stays in the right monitor; however, various smaller windows always appear in the left-hand monitor (for example, price retrieve, transaction review, etc.) A few of these smaller windows aren't centered -- they appear on the right-most edge of the left monitor.

Hi hray and aviator,

Thanks for the feedback. This isn't something you can control now, but is something we'll plan to improve for the next major update. The issue is that many of the dialogs are centered in your desktop. I believe if we change this to be centered within the FM window that would eliminate this problem.
Thanks,
Mark

That would work - even better would be if FM "remembered" the last positioning of each sub-window.
