Hi Mark;
When I try to enter a merger of Progress energy with Duke PowerPGN share holders were to receive.87083shares of DUK for each share of PGN. when I record a split, 600 shares are suppose to change to529. When I try to enter the split the # of share doesn't change.I amlooking at shares purchased , should I be looking else where?
I tried to change the # of shares purchased that made all dividends recorded as minus # that was showed up red.I didn't save changes so that change went away. I have tried to enter the split4 times. When I get it figured out can I just deletall the incorectenterys?

Hi lbrandon,

Go into the Data Register, and look at this investment. Set the "Data Type" to "Splits", so you can see all your recorded splits. Delete any that you incorrectly entered. Record a split for a ratio of 529 for 600 in your case. If you received cash for partial shares, record it with the partial shares, and then sell the partial shares.

If you are looking at the purchase transaction prior to this, and you have "View / Split Adjusted" turned off, it will show you having purchased 600 shares still. If you turn that option ON, you will see it as 529. You can also look in the Portfolio Editor, or on a Portfolio Value report to see your current number of shares, which should be 529 after recording this split.
Thanks,
Mark
