This is basic but I don't know the answer. When I close a position out (assume it has a zero value), does FM still include the impact of that investment on the overall historical return calculation? thanks!

Hi gringo28,

Yes, it does. Make sure to not "close" the investment though, or else it will not. You can "hide" the investment and leave it open in your sub-portfolio so that it is included in overall return calculations.
Thanks,
Mark

Thanks Mark! that was my question: if i close the investment because of the quota limit (am using Pro 10.9), then i lose the historical returns of that particular investment. although in theory the cash balance would reflect the net add/reduction that the closed investment caused?

Hi gringo28,

Yes, your cash balance would still be correct. By closing the investment you would lose the effects of any gains/losses you made in that investment in your overall return figures. It would also not show up in any reports, like Capital Gains.
Thanks,
Mark
