Data file storage location

I am evaluating FM and I have created (imported) investments into a portfolio. In the process I created a sub-portfolio and a couple of investments. I did a "save all Investments" from the file menu. I cannot find the portfolio (*.mm4) or investment (*.dat) files on my computer. I looked in My Doc/FM as well as Program Files/FM. I even searched the whole hard drive. Where are they stored?

I answered my own question. I found the *.dat files in MyDoc/FM and the portfolio files were not saved until I exited FM.

Glad you found them. You can also turn on "Location" in the Portfolio Editor using "View / List Columns..." if you'd like to see the location of each of your files.
