Re-retrieving data for closed positions?

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Postby thrombus » Thu Oct 04, 2012 12:39 pm

Hi, I'm a new user working on setting up my portfolio. I originally downloaded my positions and transactions. When I saw that the data included securities I had sold, I "closed" them in order to delete them from my portfolio.

Now I'm realizing I should have just hidden them so that I could continue to include the data for historical performance reports. Is there a way to re-download that data, or should I just delete the portfolio for that account and start over? Thanks.

Hi thrombus,

You can re-open those investments. Just right mouse click on the sub-portfolio, and choose "Open Investment(s)...".

You could also do as you suggest, and either delete the sub-portfolio, and re-do the setup wizard, or retrieve transactions again.
Thanks,
Mark
