Hi,
I would like to find an investment hold in my portfolio searching by either CUSIP, SYMBOL or NAME.
How may I do it?
PS: If possible I would like to extend my search to sub-portfolios.
Thanks!

Hi Flijfi,
Create a Custom report with whatever field you want to search for, and then use the "Sort" menu to sort the report. You can run the report at any sub-portfolio level, and turn off sub-totals.
Mark,
Sorry for coming back on this issue, but I still need some help. There is any way to search based on a substring or wilcard? I have a lot of manual price updates and transactions and find the asset is painful in portfolios with about a hundred of investments so I am looking for a way to find them. Or even a more complex search where may I find a substring (like company name) name in the description AND a currency=XXX or any other logical combination of asset properties. Any way to accomplish that? Thanks
Hi Flijfi,
Sorry, there is no "investment search" feature like this. There is a search feature for a sub-portfolio in the Advisor version, but not for an investment. You would want to use one of the sorting features to sort by a field that can help you find the investment. You can sort any report by using the Sort menu, or you can sort in the Portfolio Editor list view by clicking on any column's header.
Hi Flijfi,
Okay, will do. Thanks for the idea.
