Crash with Normalized Standard Deviation of Price

Hi,

I just completed importing transactions from Quickbooks (.QIF file) for my second brokerage account. Every time I create the custom report (the default one) with this new account, FM crashes.

I removed the field " Normalized Standard Deviation of Price" in custom report settings, and FM didn't crash when creating Custom Report. Is there a reason why this new data I imported might cause this crash in FM?

Hi owenmd,

What version of Fund Manager are you using? If you're not using 12.0, please download that version, and see if you can still reproduce the problem. If you can, I'd appreciate being able to receiving a backup of your data, so we can reproduce the problem here. You can just use "File / Backup..." and email us the *.FMB backup file. I will send you an email, so you can reply to that if you still have the problem with 12.0.

Thanks for sending the backup file. I was able to reproduce the problem, and fix it for the next release. The reason it showed up for you is that several of your investments only contain a single price data point. Under this condition the normalized standard deviation was not being calculated properly. If you record 2 or more prices for all your investments you won't run into this bug. It will be fixed for the 12.1 release.
