merging transferred accounts

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

I have moved some positions between accounts using the position transfer out/in transaction types. The cash and oop basis look ok.

The net PL for all portfolios (such as seen in the Portfolio Gain charts) looks ok, but I also use a lot of sub-portfolios and am not able to see a continuous portfolio PL in the new account -- it starts with a large gain on the transfer in date then goes forward.

I would like to be able to merge the old closed sub-portfolios with the new account positions so that transferred position PLs are continuous. Is there a way to do this without just copying the old positions into the new portfolios? I have a lot of option positions and the different brokers treat options differently so I would have to simulate splits or something to make this work, kind of a hassle.

Hi mse,

Try changing "Options / General Preferences... / Other / Transfer Transactions OOP Calculations Use:" to "Market Value" instead of "Original OOP".
Thanks,
Mark
