Last week, my Personal Version 11.9 system stopped retrieving quotes from the Finra Bond quote server. This happened once before, but it resumed after a couple of days. This time, it has been 6 days, and still no quotes.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Jeff

Hi Jeff,
We are aware of this, and contemplating what to do... Their site appears to be shut down. I don't know if it is permanent or temporary. If you have any suggestions for a replacement server, please let us know. I'll post back here once there is more information.
Hi Jeff,
We've released an update to address this server issue. For details, see: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2748
Hi Mark,
Thanks for the update, but unfortunately, it doesn't help me out. I'm trying to get prices for US Government bonds (see cusip 912828NT3, for example) but it appears that those bonds don't have symbols, at least none that are visible on the http://finra-markets.morningstar.com website. Jeff
Hi Jeff,
Yes, unfortunately this is the case. The prior Finra server is no longer available, so we had to move it to this new location, and it doesn't seem to have prices for Treasuries. It does show information on them, but no pricing data. For example, see: http://finra-markets.morningstar.com/Bo ... er=C529185 for your quoted CUSIP. In this case, the "ticker" needed to be used is C529185, but there is no price shown. Under the "Last Trade Price", they just show "--".
Thanks Mark. As a customer of the brokerage industry that Finra regulates/oversees/is-paid-by, I am surprised that I cannot get a simple price for a treasury bond! Could you send me the name of a contact at Finra to whom I can speak of this issue, and then begin marching it up the totem pole? I'd be very appreciative.
Thanks, Jeff
Hi Jeff,
I don't have a contact there. I can say their website is at: www.finra.org They have a "Contact Finra" page. I'm not sure that the problem is with Finra. They seem to have a relationship with morningstar, which is the server providing the quotes. Notice, the Finra - Bonds server is: http://finra-markets.morningstar.com/Bo ... efault.jsp Previously this was through marketwatch.com, but their site is shut down at the location they used to offer the bond quotes labelled with Finra. If you start on Finra.org, and click on "Investors" and then "Market Data", you'll end up on the morningstar site, so they somehow have a relationship.
