Moving investments to new subportfolio

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Is there a way to move some of the existing investments from one sub-portfolio to another?

Have had US/CAD investments in a common registered account. Finally my financial institution has been able to offer separated CAD and USD registered accounts and all USD investments are moved to US denominated account -- need to reflect that in FM.

thanks

Hi sponge,

Yes, you can just use drag/drop to move investments between sub-portfolios. One common way to track multiple currency accounts is with one sub-portfolio per currency. For example:

- My Account
- CAD Holdings
- USD Holdings

That way, you can have a "CAD Cash" in the "CAD Holdings", and have that be the default cash account there, and also a "USD Cash" in the "USD Holdings".
Thanks,
Mark
