Creating a backup folder problem

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Postby pieterse » Sun Jul 26, 2015 10:21 am

Hello Mark,

Last week I went to the Microsoft Store to learn more about the Windows 7 to 10 upgrade. They said I should create a backup of my information on the One Drive. They did this transfer in the Store. Since that I'm not able to create a FM backup. When I close FM I get the following message window.
ERROR: Unable to create backup folder:
C:\User\bob\Documents\FundManager\Autoback
Hope you can provide directions as to how I can to fix this problem.
Was thinking about uninstalling FM and to reinstall the program and use the most recent FM backup folder I have, if that makes sense.
If need be we can speak by phone. Please let me know.

Thank you for your attention.

Bob

Hi Bob,

That folder path sounds like it may not be valid. You can set it under "Options / General Preferences... / Data". Just "Browse..." to a folder where you want to store your automatic backups.
Thanks,
Mark
