General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.
by dbender54 » Sun Nov 08, 2015 7:55 pm
Recently, I began to receive an error message when trying to upload the mobile/web data-- Error: Unable to upload data for account "XXXXXXX" (where xxxxx is my user name for this account)
I tried closing a reopening Fund Manager and re-uploading the data (either manually, from the menu (Options-->Mobile Web Access-->Upload Data), or on close from Fund Manager), but received the same error message. How can I fix this problem?

Hi dbender54,
Try using "Options / Mobile/Web Access / Account Settings..." and press OK in that dialog. That will make sure your account is registered okay.

The solution you suggested did not work. After clicking OK, there was a dialog message that said: Account"xxxx" successfully updated on server" Then another dialog message said: Would you like to upload your data for account "xxxxx" now?
Answering yes, gets me the error again. I went through the process (Options-->Mobile/ Web access--Account Settings-->OK) , changing nothing in my user name or password (none of which have changed since I first set it up and it worked) again, this time answering No, and restarted Fund Manager and tried to upload again, with the same error message" Error: unable to upload data for account "xxxxx".

Hi dbender54,
I now see the same issue... There seems to be a permission problem. We will look into it, and I'll post back here once it is resolved.

Hi dbender54,
We have a fix for this, but unfortunately it will require releasing an update for Fund Manager. We plan to do this today because of this issue. The fix will be in 2016.14.1. Use "Help / Fund Manager on the Web / Check for Updates..." to monitor availability of the new version. We will also be sending out an email announcement to the mailing list.

Thank you for the fix on the mobile/web upload. This corrected the problem I was having. Is there way to select a different view to upload than what's uploaded now? For example, if I wanted to have a YTD Performance report instead of a current price/position report? Could this be selectable in the future if not in the works now?
Thanks for your quick fix!

Hi dbender54,
Glad that fixed the issue.
Currently, no, you cannot control what data fields gets uploaded. That might be something we could improve on in the future. Thanks for the feedback.
