Creating Portfolio with Investments from Separate Accounts.

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Postby henrikk » Wed Aug 17, 2016 5:32 am

My retirement account consists of 403B, SEP's, Roth's, etc. Each of these types of accounts is listed as a separate portfolio/account in my Fund Manager. I'd like to create a portfolio that links my investments from all my different retirement accounts into a single account so that I can see my retirement investments in one view (since I treat my 'retirement' as one portfolio from an asset allocation point of view).

I know I can link entire portfolios, but can I link/combine/view investments in one portfolio?

Hi Henrik,

Just group these account level sub-portfolios into another sub-portfolio, like this:
Code: Select all
- Master
  - Regular Accounts
    - Acct 1
  - Retirement Accounts
    - 403B
    - SEP
    - Roth

You can then report at the "Retirement Accounts" level, and you can either sub-total by sub-portfolio or not. If you just want a listing of all investments, turn off sub-totals. You might find this tutorial on sub-portfolios helpful:
