Is this Malware?

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

I run Adwcleaner from Malwarebytes weekly. It consistently reports this registry key as a Potentially Unwanted Program (PUP).

PUP.Optional.Legacy, [Key] - HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\FM.exe

Does this key belong to Fund Manager? Can I tell AdwCleaner to remove it?

Thanks.

Hi Econdoc,

Yes, that belongs to Fund Manager. It is the key that remembers where Fund Manager is installed, so the next time you install a new version, it defaults the setup program to install to the same location. I would not remove it. Maybe you can tell that program it is okay and it should ignore it?
Thanks,
Mark

Thanks for the info, Mark.

I wish that I could tell the software to ignore that entry, but that does not seem to be an option. (What you get for free? :D ) Anyway, I will be careful to NOT let it delete that entry. That is what I needed to know.
