I can not get my master portfolio to open or restore. I ahve search my harddrive and found the auto backup and it will not restore properly.
How do I set the destination for the mnual and auto backups.
I always manually and auto backup. The manual rstored with the correct date but only abour 1/3 of my funds and no transactions.
The restore button only restored the one with 1/3 the funds.
I am running 9.3. Help

Hi glen77badham,

What happens when you try to open your portfolio? Do you get some error message?

When you do a "File / Restore..." and pick a backup file to restore, you will see a listing of all the investments in that backup. Do you see all your investments listed? Are you getting some error when you do the restore?

When you do a manual backup, you are prompted for the location and filename to store the backup, so this is how you would assign the destination. Automatic backups are done to the folder you specify under "Options / General Preferences... / Data".
Thanks,
Mark
