Money Market funds question

General questions about using Fund Manager that do not fit into any other forum.

Hi,
If I retrieve prices for my investments I get weird closing prices for my money funds. One shows 4.710 and another 4.480. Needless to say, they should both be 1.000. I've unchecked the retrieve price box in Investment Properties/Internet Retrieve and assume this is the correct fix for this. Right?

Also, is there a way to memorize a graph the way one can memorize a report? I have a number of sub portfolios and need to view graphs with different time axes in each as well as other differences?

Hi karlmoll,

Your solution to the price retrieve problem is correct. Money markets retrieve the 7 day yield instead of just $1 when retrieving from Yahoo. When you create a new investment, if it is a "Cash" type investment, then Fund Manager defaults that "Retrieve Price" option to off.

There is no feature to memorize graphs, other than save them as part of your portfolio. You can create a graph, and save your portfolio. It will be recalled with the same settings the next time you open your portfolio. It would be good to add a similar functionality to the memorize reports though.
Thanks,
Mark

How about 'simply' using a screen shot program and snap a pic of the graph? Believe mine is freeware, or close to it, and one may be inherent within like VISTA????

I save screen shots as jpg and manipulate/annote them in color as I wish (MARK R U Listening????? This is the hard way around.....).
And if U wish, and have such as photoshop Elements or a good graphics program, can open them and use the transparency option to do overlays, resize, et al.

All this wont solve our current financial scenario but it IS theraputic!!!!

FYI I have NOT gone this far but do shoot screen shots and note them up.

Appreciate a repost as to what and how you fare on this.

Lars

(Still crazy after all these years.....)

Hi Lars,

Capturing a screen shot would serve a different purpose from the discussion of 'memorizing' graphs. The memorizing would be so that you can re-create the graph with the same settings at a later time. The re-created graph would take into account any new data. There is already a feature to do a screen shot capture to the clipboard and a JPG file. This feature is only available in the Advisor version.
Thanks,
Mark
