Sort investments by name or ticker symbol

Questions on using, creating, or understanding data in Fund Manager reports.

Postby mli2001 » Sat Jan 16, 2016 3:05 pm

Hello,
In the "portfolio value" report, investments are listed by ticker symbol, however not in alphabetical order (I am not sure what order they are listed). Is there a way to sort it? It will make reconciliation with broker statements much easier.
I am using personal version 2014.13.6.
Thanks
Morris

Hi Morris,

By default, the investments are listed in the "Investment Stack" order. You can choose what the report is sorted by under the top level "Sort" menu. For example, if you choose "Sort / Investment", your report will be sorted alphabetically by investment. You may however prefer to sort the investment stack alphabetically, and save your portfolio. This way, all future reports that sort by investment stack will already be sorted alphabetically. To do this, use "Investments / Sort By / Name", which will sort the investment stack by name.
Thanks,
Mark
