Portfolio Performance Summary Totals

Hi

I am trying to setup a portfolio performance report that would provide just summary totals of four taxable investment accounts. Each investment account is a sub-portfolio within a taxable portfolio. I don't want the individual securities shown on the report, only the sub total values for each sub portfolio.

I changed the report settings to select the investment portfolio, subtotaled by sub-portfolio and list by to none - totals only. Screen shot attached.

When I run the report, i get four lines with the sub-portfolio totals as planned (each has a space between on the report), and then the four sub-portfolios are listed a second time below the initial four lines. There is no space between them the second time. Interestingly, the totals at the footer of the report are accurate and only reflect the sum of the four accounts (not doubled up)

Are there settings that I need to change to fix the report so that it only shows each sub portfolio once?

Hi Mark,

I agree that is kind of odd, but that is how it will work with those settings. It is showing the same as if you were listing by something, and just not drawing all the listing lines. In that case, you see the listings, and a sub-total. Again at the bottom, you see a listing of each item in the top level sub-portfolio, which are these same sub-portfolios in this case.

In the Advisor version there is an option to only specify so many levels of hierarchy. Based on your picture, it doesn't appear you are using this version. If you were, you could set the hierarchy to stop at 1 level, and it would only show the bottom section.
