Three Infos on bonds I am looking for

Hi,

When I analize bonds, I would need a few info I am unable to get currently :

- yield to maturity of a bond
- weighted average Maturity of a portfolio/sub portfolio
- modified duration of a bond/etf/portfolio.

While avg maturity and modified duration can be calculated starting from the bond properties, in case of funds or etf who did invest in bonds we would need a place where to store the informations when we buy them , so than an average on a portfolio could take into consideration their avg maturity and duration to give the full situation of the bonds

Maybe customized reports do that already, but I am just learning how the software is working, so with the customized report up to now I have been just able to get a list with the maturity, than export to excel and make averages there......

Hi Giovanni,

You can get the "Yield To Maturity (YTM)" in either a "Custom" or a "Bond Summary" report.

We don't have the weighted average maturity date or modified duration currently. Thanks for the feedback/suggestion.

You are lightfast !

I just found YTM , many thanks, and so I ask immediately for an improvement : to show YTM weighted average when the subportfolio/portfolio total appear , so than one can have a picture about the expected YTm of a build portfolio . This featire is very useful in my opinion, as a support when you try to balance in a bonds' portfolio risk and yield.
