Report does not populate any values. I have about 10 years of info in the program for each investment

Hello rskarke,

Things to check:

1) Are you running it on a sub-portfolio that contains investments with sell transactions?
2) Is your report date range covering the date of any sell transactions in this sub-portfolio?
3) Make sure all your investments aren't marked as "tax-free", or "cash", while you have on the report option to not show these investment types. See "Options / Report Preferences... / Capital Gains".
Thanks,
Mark

4) Check if missing investments are "hidden"?
(Not sure if that affects the CG report, but whenever I'm missing investment data, that's the first place I check.)

I have no sales on these investments at this time. Maybe that is the issue. I only want to see what the cost basis is for the investments. Maybe I am on the wrong report.

Hi rskarke,

Yes, you are on the wrong report then. The Capital Gains report shows your realized gains/losses. If you want to see a listing of cost basis for shares you still own, use the "Open Lots" report instead.
Thanks,
Mark
