Alphabetizing Possible within the transactions on reports?

Hello Mark,

Is there anyway to alphabetize within "Portfolio Parent" of a particular Investment on our reports?

We have several Investments with so many "Portfolio Parent" ('s) and they don't list alphabetically.

Hi Heidi,

I'm not sure I followed... You can sort alphabetically by any column in a report. Just select the top level "Sort" menu, and choose which field to sort by. If this doesn't answer you question, please tell me what report type you're looking at, and whether you're sub-totaling, and what you're listing by.

If we are looking at a report of all of our open investments, this is sorted alphabetically. Within these investments is the list of where these are held. Where the investments are held does not come out alphabetically.

So when we want to view our Cash positions, the Brokers are not coming out alphabetically within that investment.

I'm still not following. If you're listing by investment, there isn't any sub-list within that? Can you tell me what report type you're looking at? Is this a Custom report, an Investment Transaction report, or what type of report are you looking at? Also, please tell me the report settings you're using, like the options for sub-totals, listing by, etc, as shown under "Edit / Report Settings...". This should help me understand better. Or, you can email or post a screen shot of your report.
