How to generate the month end cash balance by month for a time period e.g. qtr, year?

breakdown by currency and sub portfolio across selected portfolios

purpose is to have the cash balances to tally with the statements to reconcile that the dividend and coupon distributions are correctly feeding

How to generate the month end cash balance by month for a time period e.g. qtr, year?

Use a "Monthly Performance" report and select "Value" as the performance metric. Turn on a filter, to only show investment type of cash.

breakdown by currency and sub portfolio across selected portfolios

You can use a Portfolio Value report and "List By" currency. You can also optionally sub-total by sub-portfolio.
