report to break down income

HI HOw do I create a report that is able to separate dividends from say long term capital gain?

I believe the Distribution Summary report will do what you're asking for. It's a "stock" report, which is one of several reports that are already part of FM, meaning that you don't have to create a separate custom report.

Thanks that is good does dividends also include income..I want to us this for bonds too

Hi alan,

The "Distribution Summary" report includes all types of distributions. Dividends are one type. Interest Income is another type, and so are each of the "Capital Gain" type distributions. They are all available in this report.
