Hi alan,

The currency property of your investments is assigned to a currency "position". So, if your investments were assigned to the top/default currency, and you change the symbol for that currency position, all your investments will show the new currency symbol, as they are still assigned to that same position.

If you want to be able to change the default currency, you should not assign any of your investments to the top/default currency. Instead, assign them to one of the 2-25 positions, and if you want to change the default currency, change the default currency symbol and all the exchange rates for the 2-25 to default exchange. Leave the symbols un-changed for the 2-25 positions. You can do this with currency templates quickly.

HI So the only way to effect perment change is to make new set of currencies eg AUD>USD and change each investment one at a time...Is there no batch function for this

Thanks

Hi Alan,

Maybe you can explain more what you're trying to do? I understand you had your investments assigned to the top/default currency, and that was NZD. Now, you want to see these NZD expressed in AUD?

There is no global batch operation to change the investment property of currency for all investments.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi I have changed the portfolio from NZ to AUD as base currency So now I wish to see all holdings expressed as AUD not NZD I can see that if I assign new currency pairs on the currency table I can re assign each position to the new codes

but is there an easier way around this

Thanks

Hi Alan,

I have changed the portfolio from NZ to AUD as base currency

what does this mean? You did this in Fund Manager, or with your broker? How did you change this? You can't just change the label in your "Options / Currency Settings..." and change the currency. Please re-read my original reply in this thread.
Thanks,
Mark
