Hi Alan,

You have a portfolio in NZD and you want to compare it to what in AUD? If you want to see it in AUD instead of NZD you can do that. Just assign your default to AUD, and make sure your NZD currency is not in the default position. You can do a lot with currency templates, changing the default currency, without modifying the currency of your actual holdings. See:

https://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/hel ... rency.html

and in case you've not see how to set up multiple currencies, see this tutorial:

Hi Alan,

2 questions:

1) Are you trying to see your portfolio in AUD?

2) Of the 25 currency positions, where the default is #1, and counting up as you go down the list, what position are your investments in this portfolio assigned to?

Please read over that documentation and tutorial, I think that should really help.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi Alan,

See the documentation on "Currency Templates". If you're using NZD in the #1 slot, you won't be able to convert those to AUD, because that is the default spot. If you make NZD slot 10 for example, change all your investments to NZD in slot 10, you will then have the flexibility to apply an exchange rate NZD->AUD to slot 10 and have the default be AUD. Alternatively, you can make the default also be NZD, and set the exchange rate for slot 10 to be a fixed 1.0.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi Alan,

Yes, you'd want to change all your NZD positions to slot 10 one at a time.

If your USD in slot 2 is currently NZDUSD=X this is fine while you have the default set to NZD. When you change the default to AUD you will want to change the exchange rate to AUDUSD=X.

Please read the documentation on "Currency Templates" here:

https://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/hel ... rency.html

There are screen shots and detailed explanations that explain all of this.

Currency templates are a way to allow you to quickly change to different default currencies.
Thanks,
Mark
