Updating Price of securities

Hi reddragon,
It sounds like there is no price for those investments on the report's date. Take a look at your recorded closing prices for those investments in the Data Register to verify. See the "Prices" data type in the Data Register. If the investments aren't updating, make sure they are set to retrieve prices, and their symbol is recorded as shown on whatever quote server you're using. The global quote server is set under "Options / Internet Settings...", but it can be overridden on a per-investment basis under "Investment Properties... / Internet Retrieve". For more info, see this tutorial: https://youtu.be/9rTWGWjnzUI and this FAQ: https://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/faq ... ailure.php
Hi reddragon,
There is an FAQ here, on the things to check, and steps to debug this: https://www.fundmanagersoftware.com/faq ... ailure.php If you still have questions, please let me know the symbol, quote server, and quote module version in question.
Hi reddragon,
Do you see them quoted on any of our supported quote servers? Please go look with a web browser, and see if they are listed. If so, what symbol do they use, and what server did you see them on? Links to all the quote servers

Hi reddragon,
Sure, just go here to start. That shows a list of all the available quote servers supported by Fund Manager. Try going to one you think might offer your quotes. For example, click on "Yahoo" in that list, and it will take you to their site, where you can search for your investment. If you can find it, then record whatever Yahoo is displaying as the symbol in your Fund Manager investment. If you can't find it on Yahoo, try a different server. If you do find it on a different server, set this investment to retrieve from that server, instead of Yahoo. You do this under "Investment Properties... / Internet Retrieve" on that investment. Hi reddragon,
I doubt the issue would be resolved by upgrading to Fund Manager 2018. You will still need to make sure you have a valid symbol entered for whatever security you're trying to update.
Hi reddragon,
A CD won't have a retrievable price. Just keep it fixed at a price of $1, like cash. Turn off the property: Investment Properties... / Internet Retrieve / Retrieve Price so that it does not attempt to retrieve for that investment.
These brokered CD's price fluctuate with interest rates. For example Wells fargo bank on the statement has a price of 0.9997 as of August 31, 2017. So unless I put that in as price I can not get portfolio to balance every month. I can,t just leave it as 1.
