Port. Value report not including investment

Attempt to add investment to portfolio, says investment already in portfolio. But Portfolio Value report will not list the investment. Why?

Hi jfscullion,

1) Are you running the report on a sub-portfolio that contains this investment?

2) Is the investment hidden, while you have "View / Hidden Investments/Portfolios" turned off?

Thanks, Mark. I turned on View, Hidden, and it now shows up. But, when I look at "Investment properties, Other" it is not marked as "hidden".

Hi jfscullion,

Okay, then it must not be displayed in your report because of the option:

Options / Report Preferences... / General / Do Not Display Investments With Zero Share Balance

This means that investment has 0 shares owned on your report date, so it is being automatically not displayed. You can change that option if you want, or you can view that investment in another window, like the Portfolio Editor.

Don't know what I did but it shows up correctly in the report now.
