default currency AND foreign currency in custom reports

Hi,

My default currency is EURO. I also have investments in $, JPY, NOR and a few more.

In my custom report, I need to have a column for both the EURO value (or price) AND a column for the value (or price) in the 'foreign currency'..

I am sure there are fields available for this, but I don't seem to be able to find these.. Can you help me?

Hi Erik,

Sorry, you can't do this currently. You can either have all your investments displayed in any single default currency you choose, or in their native currency, but not both at the same time. This is controlled with "View / Exchange Rate Adjusted".

I can probably solve this in excel by exporting the currency-exhange-rates as well.

It is important to me, because I have to be able to determine which part of the result (value change / capital gain) is caused due to currency results.

Or is there perhaps another way in FM that I am not aware of?

Hi Erik,

You could look at the gains with/without exchange rate adjustment, and look at the difference after adjusting one of them to the other currency. You could also get the gain/loss of just the exchange rate, and subtract/add this to the gain of the investment to get the portion due to the investment only.
