Filter multiple symbols

Questions on using, creating, or understanding data in Fund Manager reports.

Postby wsslsi » Tue Jul 21, 2020 6:37 am

Please add the ability to select or de-select multiple symbols within reports rather than just one. There are scenarios where I need to group certain symbols together for performance, tax lots, tracking mergers and splits etc. I can do this now by copying of moving positions within a portfolio to a subportfolio to isolate them for the report and then move them back or delete the copied info when I’m done. This can be time consuming and involved multiple steps as opposed to being able to select or deselect whatever symbols are needed for a given report.

Example- let's say you have 10 "stocks/symbols" in one brokerage account but only want to run a "Report" on 5 symbols? Appears this capability does not exist yet per this thread and in looking at FM current version (still can only select 1 "stock/Symbol"). Or at least I could not find a way to do this. Can you advise? Thanks.

That's correct, you can still only filter by 1 symbol at a time currently...
Thanks,
Mark

Adding a vote - except not specifically for symbol filters, but for the other filter types such as investment goal, and asset type.

My use case when is running a rebalance report and wanting to filter out more than one Investment Goal or Asset Type. If I want to rebalance my stocks against bonds holdings, I can't exclude other asset types (except one).
